our first really decent storm for the coming summer storm season surprised even the veteran forecasters at the Bureau of Meteorology with its ferocity and sheer size. I managed to escape work just a little early to take some shots of lightning. 30 second shot at f22 and me cursing that I couldnt shut down the carpark lights the whole time.

You prick! LOL we had a huge electrical storm up here last sunday with the whole sky filling with variouse flashes of lightning in 2 second lots and went for about 5 hours... But unfortunatly I didn't have my camera with me :(... When I got home to get the camera the lightning was too far away and there was too much light to do any real justice :(... lightning shots are to take unless you have some extremley high iso... Nice capture :)

this was one of 100shots where only about 6 of them caught any lightning. I really needed a far wider angle lens.
